Short description
The Great Uyuni Salt Flat is by far the largest salt flat in the world and one of Bolivia’s most extraordinary tourist destinations. It is located 219 km southwest of Potosí Department. Uyuni is the starting point for visiting important attractions on this beautiful circuit, which features one of the largest salt seas in the world (10,582 km2), its white landscape contrasting with the mountain ranges and the sky as its only borders, mountain ranges of volcanoes, and immense deserts. Its Andean fauna includes llamas, vicuñas, and other smaller animals.
Program
We leave Potosí early in the morning, and from Uyuni at 10:00 a.m. we travel to Colchani. We’ll explore its wonderful, unique landscape, its salt mounds and treatment, and the first salt hotel. We’ll have the opportunity to purchase souvenirs. We’ll then be transferred to a lunar environment for lunch. Afternoon, we’ll visit Incahuasi Island or Fish Island, where we’ll stroll around the area to take unforgettable photographs. Then we’ll return to the start of the route.
