TREKKING TO 5,094 METERS ABOVE SEA LEVEL. CONQUERING EL CONDOR STATION. 3 DAYS / 2 NIGHTS.

Short description

An exciting trek, only for those who want to feel the intensity of the sun’s rays or simply walk among snowflakes and the wind, is truly a hike embraced by high-altitude mountain ranges where calm reigns in its surroundings, an emporium of living nature isolated from the modern world, a territory of 10,000 km2, with an average elevation of 4,790 meters above sea level. For those who come to this virgin land for the first time, it is a majestic setting; they will see before their eyes how an almost endless desert plain opens up from May to September, framed by successive snow-capped peaks. Its Andean fauna is dazzling; the ostrich, kiwi, vizcacha, condor, and others of great ecological value.

Day 1: Potosí – Condoriri – Tullujchi.

Welcome to the city of Potosi. Our staff will give you a brief briefing about trekking and recommendations for quickly adapting to the altitude. Travel to the municipality of Porco, km. 33, Uyuni Highway. Rosas Kancha Eco Lodge will be our small refuge, allowing us to experience our expeditionary strength. We will ascend to the extraordinary high mountains of Anarria Khasa. In 3 to 4 hours, we will reach the landscapes of Tullujchi, camping in the surrounding area.

Day 2: Laguna Pampa – Wara wara Cocha – Antacoullu – Salaquere.

Gradual ascent through sandy areas, thola, and yareta to Laguna Pampa, with extraordinary views of Tanka Tanka Hill, the Tanitani flower, unique in this region of Bolivia, in the Warawara Cocha sector, a spectacle where the noble llama behaves somewhat wildly. We reach Antacoullu Hill, the highest point on the trail. It will be sublime and unreal if we walk on its white blanket of snow blown by the cold altiplano, at almost 5,000 meters above sea level. We are ready to conquer its summit, its fauna of ostriches and kiwis. Arrival in Salaquere or El Cóndor Station, basic lodging.

Day 3: Condor Station – Yura River – Potosi.

This day, the trek will slow down. For four hours, we will appreciate the magnificence of the mountain range, the Suni and Sikhimotaya mountains with their perpetual snows. At the Rio Yura station, a delicious snack of grilled trout awaits us, followed by free time for a relaxing soak in the hot springs. We will return to the city of Potosí.
