Day 1: La Paz – Copacabana – Isla del Sol.
Arrival and welcome to La Paz! Our staff will present the program for the following days and then continue on a 3-hour trip to the Copacabana Peninsula. In the afternoon, we will cross the lake to reach the southern part of Isla del Sol, a mythical site of Pilkokaina archaeological remains and the Inca Temple. We will walk along the Yumani steps to reach the Fountain of Youth and its beautiful Inca garden. Accommodation in a hostel or hotel on Isla del Sol.
Day 2: Visit the sacred temple of Chinkana and Moon Island.
Today, the boat takes us to Challapampa, a gentle 30-minute walk to the archaeological complex of Isla del Sol. The temple of La Chinkana and “La Roca Sagrada” (The Sacred Rock) are located here. Legends and myths tell of the birth of the Sun Star, the cradle of the Inca empire with Manco Kapac and Mama Ocllo. On Isla de la Luna, we find the archaeological remains of “Iñac Uyu,” a temple dedicated to the worship of the Moon, known as “Ajllawasi,” or House of the Virgins of the Sun. We return to Copacabana.
Day 3: Visit to Copacabana – Tiwanaku.
In the morning, we include a panoramic tour of Copacabana, the magical sanctuary of the Virgin Mary, and an ascent to Calvary, where we appreciate the Yatiris—Aymara and Quechua Amautas—who bless and invoke protection for each family. We arrive in Tiwanaku in the late afternoon.
Day 4: Tiwanaku – Oruro.
A sublime day visiting the Lithic and Ceramic Museum, the Tiwanaku Archaeological Site, and its main ceremonial centers, such as the Akapana Pyramid, the Semi-Subterranean Temple, the Kalasasaya Temple, the Sun Gate, and others. At midday, we enjoy a typical lunch and meet our fellow travelers. Arrival in Oruro at the end of the day. Accommodation in a hostel or hotel.
Day 5: Oruro – Colchani.
Transfer to the Virgen del Socavón Museum. In the afternoon, we cross the tributaries of Lake Poopó, the majestic Atlantis in the Andes of Oruro, and the holy waters of Santiago de Huari. At the end of the day, we venture into the salty lands and visit the serene plains of Uyuni. Accommodation at the hotel.
Day 6: Colchani – Uyuni Salt Flats – Fish Island – San Juan.
Departure to our magical destination, the largest salt desert. Hopefully we’re acclimatized, we’ll hop on mountain bikes and ride across a stunning salt flat to Incahuasi Island (Fish Island). Here, you’re sure to be amazed by this natural wonder, located in the town of San Juan. Overnight in tents.
Day 7: San Juan – Lagunas – Laguna Colorada.
Today, enjoy a splendid adventure in a private reserve. You’ll admire the active Ollague volcano, the Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarcota, and Honda lagoons, which are home to flamingos and native wildlife. In the afternoon, explore the Siloli Desert and the Stone Tree. At the end of the day, arrive at Laguna Colorada. Basic accommodations.
Day 8: Laguna Colorada – Laguna Verde – Uyuni – Potosí
At dawn we appreciate geysers – fumaroles (volcanic area), better known as “Sun of Morning” then to the hot springs – Polques, we know the lagoon “Blanca y Verde” located at the foot of the Licancabur volcano, it is an indescribable experience, returning through Culpina k, Villa Alota, arriving at the end of the day only nostalgia, we are in the train cemetery , arrival at night in Potosí. Accommodation in hostel / hotel.
Day 9: Potosí – silver mines – mint.
In the morning, enjoy a four-hour adventure inside the mine, using the cooperative system. In the afternoon, explore history at the Casa de la Moneda or Baño del Inca (optional). In the evening, we include a city tour by night. Hotel accommodations.
Day 10: Potosí – Sucre – Cal Orck’o.
In the early morning, we embark on an extraordinary three-hour trip to the White City, a heritage city. We visit the House of Freedom and take a panoramic tour of its well-preserved historic center. In the afternoon, we admire the large display of dinosaur footprints at the Cal Orck’o quarry or stroll through the castles of the roundabout. At the appropriate time, we will transfer you to the hotel/airport. END OF TRIP.
