We offer you the wonderful opportunity to enjoy the circular volcanic caldera, its medicinal hot springs, unique in all of America. This perfect circle, approximately 99 meters in diameter, emanates water at 100°C from the surface instead of lava. It is located 25 km from the city. Tarapaya has also been known as the Eye of the Inca since pre-Columbian times. Surrounded by many volcanic eyes, open-air spas, and its sharp hills complete this natural wonder. Dare to experience it with us.
Program
Four hours to discover every corner of Ojo del Inca, its ancient villages, such as the Colla nation of Cantumarca, refuge and trench of the indigenous revolutionary Chaqui Katari, we pass through the canyon and Devil’s Cave. Surrounded by its high peaks, in the red landscape of La Puerta lies San Bartolomé, the patron saint of Potosí. A short time to explore the colonial haciendas of Molinos and Mondragón, we arrive at the “Baño del Inca,” an emblematic site where the Inca Huayna Kapac once treated his ailments with its waters. Time to cover yourself in volcanic mud and feel the adrenaline rush of immersing yourself in its waters. Return to the city.
