Visiting that white incandescence in the Uyuni Salt Flats is like immersing yourself in its incomparable colored lagoons, volcanoes, and surprising natural landscapes that invite hiking, adventure, and mountaineering. Along with an environment teeming with alpacas, llamas, vicuñas, and Andean animals. It’s an unprecedented experience.
Day 1: Sucre – city tour – dinosaur footprints
Arrival and welcome to Sucre! Meet with our passengers for a presentation of the upcoming tour. City tour of the white city and heritage. In the afternoon, transfer to the Cal Orck’o quarry or the Glorieta Castle, where you’ll have time to admire the largest display of prehistoric animal footprints of different species. Travel to the city of Potosí, where you’ll stay in a hostel.
Day 2 : Potosí – Silver Mines – Mint
Full day in the colonial city, a World Heritage Site, a tour of the cooperative mines at the Silver Colossus, and more history in the afternoon at the Mint. Overnight at a hostel.
Day 3: Potosí – Uyuni Salt Flats
An early morning journey to enter the salt flats, we approach the serene plains of Uyuni and Colchani, allowing time to appreciate the salt mounds, the first salt hotel, handicrafts, and arrival at Incahuasi Island or the fish island. Basic accommodation in Coquesa.
Day 4: Tunupa Volcano – Chuvica – Colored Lagoons
An exciting day with spectacular views of the Ollague Volcano. We explore highland lagoons, Cañapa, Chiarcota, Edionda, the Stone Tree, and its unique natural beauty. We arrive at Huayllajara at the end of the day. Basic accommodation.
Day 5: Licancabur Volcano – San Pedro – Uyuni
Early morning departure for spectacular views of guesses and hot springs in the morning sun, the wonder of the Dali Desert, the green and white lagoons. Here, possible connection to San Pedro de Atacama or vice versa. (Optional ) afternoon return to Uyuni, visiting Villa Mari, the World Cup in the Valley of the Rocks, and the train cemetery. Transfer: hotel/airport. END OF TRIP.
