Short description
Together, let’s discover this historic mining circuit of Llallagua, with surrounding towns such as Uncía, Siglo XX, and Catavi. It constitutes a vein open to all visitors, rich in tin minerals, another economic mainstay of Bolivia. Today, admire its history and remember the mining empire built by Simón I. Patiño; recognized by the New York Times as the fourth richest man in the world, in Europe as “the tin king,” and others such as Jokchil and Aramayo. Touring the María Barzola resistance camp, the Todo Santo massacre, the 31 de Octubre theater, the Siglo XX mineshaft, highlights the history of mining unionism in Bolivia, the Catavi hot springs, and strolls through mineral extraction and processing sites, valuable attractions worth visiting.
